each scope, a name can only represent one entity. So, there cannot be two variables with the same name in the same scope. Using namespaces, we can create two variables or member functions having the same name.

Length related procedure which is provided is already a part belonging to the POP-11 language.
One can easily write any other procedures as one needs.
An user-defined procedure is a way in which one can make an expansion to the POP-11 language.
This is because all functions related to the procedures act just in the same way as the one is built.
