\sf{\underline{Valance Electrons}}

Those electrons which are present in the outer most shell of an atom is called it's Valance electrons.

The electrons which take part in a chemical bond during a reaction is called Valance electrons.

Ex:-

In case of sodium having atomic no. 11

Na 11 => 2 , 8 ,1

K ,L, M

It's outer most shell contain 1 electrons hence its valence electrons is 1.
