Answer: Vector is a quantity having direction as well as magnitude, especially as determining the position of one point in space relative to another.

To add vectors, lay the first one on a set of axes with its tail at the origin.

Parallel vectors point in the same direction. Non parallel vectors point in opposite directions. ( 180 degrees) Non parallel vectors point in different directions and the angle between them may be bigger than zero but less than 180 degrees.

Hope it helps........

Definition of a vector. A vector is an object that has both a magnitude and a direction. Geometrically, we can picture a vector as a directed line segment, whose length is the magnitude of the vector and with an arrow indicating the direction. ... Two examples of vectors are those that represent force and velocity.

In a Euclidean space, two directed line segments, often called vectors in applied mathematics, are antiparallel, if they are supported by parallel lines and have opposite directions. In that case, one of the associated Euclidean vectors is the product of the other by a negative number.
