It's the term used to describe whether a verb is active or passive.
There are two types of voice.
1. Active Voice
2. Passive Voice
At first, examine the following sentences.
1. Rama hits the ball.
2. The ball is hit by Rama.
In the first sentence , the verb ( hits) shows that the subject ( Rama) does the action, or the subject acts. The verb ( hits) is therefore said to be in the Active Voice.
In the second sentence, the verb ( is hit) shows that the action is done to the subject ( ball) . The verb ( is hit) is therefore said to be in the Passive Voice.
