Like melting point, boiling point is also a measure of strength of forces of attraction between its constituents particles, higher the boiling point, stronger the force. In general low boiling liquids such as ether, acetone, methyl, alcohol, chloroform have weak force of attraction such liquids are called volatile liquid.
