There are three types of muscle tissue. They are-

  1. Voluntary or striated muscle tissue- These are the tissues which are working under the human will. They are having black and white striations. It is made up of Multinucleated and unbranched cells. Location-Limbs and are attached to bones.
  2. Involuntary or Unstriated muscle tissue-It doesn't work under the human will and are made up of long uninucleated cells with pointed ends. Location- Alimentary canal, Bronchi and Iris.

●Voluntary muscles :muscle whose action normally controlled by an individual will ;mainly skeletal muscle etc.
●involuntary muscles : a muscle that contracts without conscious control and found in walls of internal organs such as stomach and intestine and bladder and blood vessels. these are also known as smooth muscles .
