Wave velocity is a wave property, it specifies the speed with which a wave travels through a medium .

Wave velocity is equal to the product of frequency and wavelength of a wave .

wave velocity = frequency × wavelength

v = f×λ

v = (w/2π) × λ

f - the frequency of the wave

λ - the wavelength of the wave

w - the angular velocity of the wave
