Weed, not to be confused with the drug cannabis, is any un-wanted or undesirable plant that the farmer deems to be a weed.

For example: Consider a farmer generally grows wheat in his farm and then sees a rice plant to grow offshoot somewhere in the field.

The farmer does not require or desire the rice plant, hence it is a weed. Despite of rice being a perfectly usable crop, the farmer does not desire it, hence to him it is a  weed.
