Weeding is the process of removing the weed plants. It is done either manually which includes physical removal of weeds by uprooting or cutting them close to the ground, from time to time, with the help of a khurpi. A seed drill may be used to uproot weeds. Weeding is also done by spraying chemicals or weedicides like 2,4-D. The weedicides are diluted with water to the extent required and sprayed in the fields with a sprayer to kill the weeds.
