If this force of attraction of the earth is somehow cancelled, or nor present then the body experiences no force towards the centre of the earth.
This condition is called weightlessness.

Weightlessness is a condition experienced by an object falling freely towards the earth. In other words, a body falling freely under gravity shows no weight,i.e., it is weightless. A body in a satellite is weightless because a satellite is falling freely towards the earth. The principle of weightlessness of a freely falling body can be applied to explain the state of weightlessness of an astronaut in a spaceship encircling around the earth.
