Answer:

just give a thnx i wont ask for a brainliest

Explanation:

It's difficult isn't it? The issues are numerous.

Is it good value?

Will it last? Do you need it to?

Does it do what you want?

Is it fashionable/desirable? Does it need to be?

Is it recommended? By whom? Do you trust them?

Is it sustainable? Do you care?

In my humble opinion, where it doesn't matter if it fails and let's you down - buying cheap might make sense.

Where you want a more sustainable product, and a more reliable product then buying a higher priced product often works out better. Not the most expensive as that is often not the best value and you pay for features you don't need or because its a name brand or very new, but something in the 60–80th percentile of cost. You'll get a long lasting, hard wearing product with many desirable features.

Another way I look at it is this; do you order the list of results on ebay or amazon by price? Do you go cheapest first or most expensive? Often going most expensive but scrolling down the list a page or two, costs you less in the long term, the product costs more upfront, is better and lasts longer.

Recommendations from friends and family, if they are discerning consumers, are great, but magazines and websites lack impartiality and are paid to promote products even if they appear to be independent. Influencers are paid to influence you.

What would be amazing would be if you could rent or borrow the item to see if it suits you before you buy. You can with a car but you cannot with a toaster.
