Equilibrium State:

• In a Reversible Reaction after some time(t) the rate of forward reaction becomes equal to rate of Backward Reaction

• Such state are called as Equilibrium state.

 \green{NOTE:}

• At equilibrium state we can't observe any change in concentration, pressure, temperature, volume, colour, etc...

Dynamic Equilibrium:

• During the Chemical Equilibrium, both forward & backward reactions takes place simultaneously, oppositely & equally.

• So it is called as Dynamic Equilibrium.

Note:

  • Chemical reactions which are reversible do not cease, when equilibrium is attained.
  • At equilibrium the forward and the backward reactions are proceeding at the same rate and no macroscopic change is observed.
  • So chemical equilibrium is in a state of dynamic equilibrium.
