DEFINITION:
physics, a force is any interaction that, when unopposed, will change the motion of an object. A force can cause an object with mass to change its velocity, i.e., to accelerate. Force can also be described intuitively as a push or a pull. A force has both magnitude and direction, making it a vector quantity.
EXAMPLES: GRAVITATION FORCE , ELECTRIC
FORCE, ETC
✒Force
A push or pull exerted by an object on another is known as Force.
TYPES OF FORCES
- Contact forces
- Non-contact Forces
✒Contact forces
A force that can be applied only when it is in contact with an object is called contact force.
✒Examples of contact force
- Muscular Force
- Mechanical Force
- Frictional Force
✰Muscular Force
The force resulting due to the action of muscles is Known as muscular force.
✰Mechanical Force
The force that features some direct contact between two objects and results in the production of a change in the state of the object.
✰Frictional Force
The force of fricton always acts on all the moving objects and its direction is always opposite to the direction of motion.

✒Non-contact Forces
A force can be applied without any contact between two objects is called non-contact force.
✒ Examples of Non-contact Forces
- Magnetic Force
- Electrostatic Force
- Gravitational Force
✰Magnetic Force
The force exerted by a magnet is called Magnetic Force.
✰Electrostatic Force
When a charged body having a (+) or (-) Charge, Exerts force on another Charged or uncharged body is known as Electrostatic Force.
✰Gravitational Force
The force exertion by the Earth to Pull the objects towwolds itself is called Force of gravity or Gravitational Force.
