  • Work is defined as the energy transfer associated when a force pushes/pulls an object over a displacement.

Mathematical form:

 \boxed{ \sf \:  W =  \vec{F} \: .  \: \vec{d}}

\sf \implies W = F \times d \times  \cos( \theta)

So, we can say:

  • Max work is done when value of \cos(\theta) is max , which means \theta = 0°.

  • Min work is done when value of \cos(\theta) is min , which means \theta = 90°.
