Hi!!

Here's your answer!!

In the Neolithic period some people settled down on the banks of the river Nile and began farming. This settlements became larger and permanent , gradually developing into the vibrant Civilization called Egyptian civilization.
The most important reason for development of Egyptian civilisation was river Nile, the lifeline for the Egyptian people. Every year, the Nile burst its banks and spread its water over the land depositing fertile black silt on the land. So a variety of crops could be grown here.
The Nile also served as source of water for daily needs, for irrigation and transportation.
Thus, Egypt came to be called 'The Gift of the Nile'.

Hope this helps you!!
