☆ we know how important it is to eat food. for that, we need the food to reach to different organs where absorption and secretion of enzymes can happen.

☆ in order to make food reach the stomach, there are rhythmic contractions in our food pipe or oesophagus.

☆ this is because of the muscles that are there in alimentary canal.

☆ this is known as peristalsis or peristaltic movement.
