Rigid means 'inflexible' or 'unbending','rigidity ' is generally a property of solids which does not allow them to change their shape.

Rigid means stiff,hard or firm.When we say that an object is rigid we actually mean that it is solid and it does not bend easily.It also means unyielding or not flexible.Solids are rigid.
