Example:-

• Silica,Borax etc.

SiO2 +CaO------> CaSiO3

The basic flux is a substance which remove the acidic impurity.

Example:-

• limestone ,magnacide, ferric oxide etc.

MgCO3 + SiO2 --------> MgSiO3 +CO2
