Blood is a reddish fluid in vertebrates that is pumped by the heart through the arteries and veins, supplies tissues with nutrients, oxygen, etc, and removes waste products. It consists of a fluid ( blood plasma) containing cells (erythrocytes, leucocytes, and platelets)
