➡️Electron transfer chain is located in mitochondria which is site of phosphorylation ( oxidative ) .... it involves series of redox reaction in which electron is transferred from one component of ETS to other .
➡️this is done so that there is large amount of hydrogen ions in intermembrane space so that a concentration gradient. this gradient is highly necessary for formation of ATP
