A force that acts between two layers and always opposes motion is called friction.It is due to interlocking of irregularities between two surface when those two surfaces come in contact with each other.

For example- When we walk on road, there is a friction between our foot and the surface of road.

When we rub our hands together, there is friction.

when we apply brakes on a moving bicycle, there is a friction between brake pads and surface of tyre.

Friction is a force which is done when two solid surfaces slide against each other.

The examples of friction are

  • Between the tires and road
  • Between paper and eraser when it is erasing the letters
  • Between pen and paper when writing something
  • between shoes and feet when walking
  • There is using of friction when a car,bike,bus are stopping with the use of speed brakers.
  • The examples when high friction is there is Glass on a glass.
  • Friction is used everwhere,everywhere when used to hold some things it happens.
