Full wave rectifier converts an alternating voltage into pulsating dc voltage for both half cycle

Explanation:

  • Full wave rectifier converts an alternating voltage into pulsating dc voltage for both the half cycle
  • Full wave rectifier consist of two diodes, an input ac supply and load resistance. For half cycle one of the two diodes works and gives the output on the load side and another diode works during other half cycle and we get full wave on the load size
  • During positive half of wave one diode works as forward bias and another works as reverse bias similarly for other half cycle another diode works as forward bias and reverse bias
