Components of a hard disk:
- It consists of solid rounded disks packed on one another.
- It is made up of a magnetic material and sealed inside a case.
- The hard disk is usually fixed inside the computer and hence it does not get lost or damaged by mishandling.
- Data is stored on the platters in tracks, sectors and cylinders to keep it organized and easier to find.
