Tissues which are responsible for growth of the plant and have ability of division are known as meristematic tissues.
Functions :
1. responsible for growth of plant.
2. have ability of division.
3. meristematic tissues are actively dividing tissues of the plant.
4. all new organs and their growth occur by the division of meristematics tissue.
Parts:
1. Apical meristem.
2. intercalary meristem.
3. Lateral meristem.
