Helloo!!
The transition elements, that are the d-block elements, lie in between these metallic and non-metallic elements. There are 38 transition elements (3–12 group), these elements display properties of both metals and non-metals. Examples are Scandium (Sc), Vanadium (V), Zinc (Zn), Gold (Au) etc. The non-transition elements are the main-group elements that are s and p block elements for example Alkali metals like sodium (Na), Potassium (K) etc, alkaline earth metals like magnesium(Mg), Strontium (Sr) .... Chalcogens like Oxygen, Sulphur, Halogens like Chlorine, Bromine.....
hope this helps!!

The definition of non-transition elements is explained below:
- In the periodic table, there are 4 blocks s, p, d and f blocks.
- s and p block contain non-transition elements while d and f blocks are known as transition or inner transition elements.
- s block elements are alkali and alkaline earth metals and contain potassium, calcium, sodium etc.
- p block elements are carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur etc.
- Transition elements such as scandium, rhodium, rubidium, and palladium are all examples of transition elements and their properties are much different than p and s block elements.
- None transition elements are also known as representative elements.
