this is a process of  reproduction where there is a shift from sexual to asexual mode of reproduction . in this process generally the female gamets develops into zygote without fertilization. Now a daysweare able to develap seedless fruits like watermelon.this strange kind of reproduction also occur in bees, ants,and wasp.

This is a mode of asexual-turned-sexual reproduction, in which the offspring develops from unfertilized eggs; such as in arthropods and some birds and amphibians.
It is also used to obtain seedless fruits, such as a seedless watermelon.
