pythagoras theorem means that the square of hypotenuse of a right angled triangle is equal to the sum of the square of the other two sides of the triangle .

suppose triangle ABC is a right angled triangled where AC is the hypotenuse of the right angled triangle and AB and BC are its other two sides . Then according to the theorem ,

(AC)²= (AB)² + (BC)²
