Pulse

When you place index finger of your right hand on the inner side of your left wrist, you can feel pulsating movements. This pulsating indicates that some liquid is flowing underneath your finger with a sudden movement. This pulsating is called pulse and it is due to the blood flowing in the arteries. In fact when a physician holds your wrist, he counts the number of sudden movement, he feels in a minute.

To examine the pulse rate (Activity)

Place two of your fingers on the wrist just below the thumb of your friend. Wait for few minutes. Find the pulse rate (number of beating per minutes) and record your observations. Ask your friend to do a little exercises and then count his pulse rate again. is this pulse rate more or less after exercise ?

Record your observation. Where else on the body can you feel the pulse
