RATIONAL NUMBER- it is in the form of p/q where q is not equal to 0.
example- 2/8,3/6,4/1 etc

IRRATIONAL NUMBER- it is not in the p/q form. it is non-terminating,non-intrusive repeating.
example- 3.707007000-------,√2 etc...
