Solids have a fixed shape and size and they are intermolecular space is very small . The intermolecular attraction between the atoms is very high compared to the liquids and gases.

Schools have a specific volume but no specific shape or size . The intermolecular space between the molecules of the liquids are bigger than solid but less than gas.

Gases have no definite shape size of volume. It can take the shape of a whole container and they are intermolecular space is very large while the intermolecular attraction is very small
