The two types of transportation system in plants are by xylem and phloem.

They are the vascular tissues present in the cell.

They are the complex permanent tissues.

A complex permanent tissue is consist of both living and non living cells.

Xylem is responsible for water conduction.

While phloem is responsible for food transportation.

Xylem consists of :

• Tracheids
• Vessels
• Xylem paranchyma
• Xylem fibres

Phloem consists of :

• Sieve tubes
• Companion cells
• Phloem fibres
• Phloem paranchyma.
