Deforestation and excess burning of fossil fuels is leading to a global problem. Explain it.
Answers
Answer:
Deforestation is a practice that involves the clear cutting or removal of the forests in order to obtain timber, land and other resources. The fossil fuels are the non-renewable resources which are obtained from the deeper layers of earth. These are the source of energy used to run the automobiles. The incomplete combustion of the fossil fuels results in the liberation of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and others these gases increases the global air temperature. These gases are responsible for greenhouse effect. Also, the deforestation process is responsible for the increase in abundance of carbon dioxide gas as forests are carbon reserves which use atmospheric carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. This also, contributes to the greenhouse effect.
