It causes imbalance in ecosystem by following ways-

1. Decreases Oxygen level of atmosphere

2. Decreases capacity of soil to hold water thus decreasing water level

3. Cutting down of trees leads to habitat loss of biodiversity of that particular area

4. It leads to soil erosion as roots of trees hold the soil together

5. It leads to climate change thus leading to spread of diseases
