Explanation:

One mole is defined as the amount of substance containing as many elementary entities (atoms, molecules, ions, electrons, radicals, etc.) as there are atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12 (6.023 x 1023). The mass of one mole of a substance equals its relative molecular mass expressed in grams. Also spelled as mol.

we can count 12 item as dozen, 144 items as gross but can we count number of atoms .such large the number goes that number is a mole.when the scientist named avagardo counted many times he got a same value

6.023 \times  {10}^{23}

so it is the value of mole . it is called as avagardo's number or avagardo's constant.

MOLE ( symbol mol)determines number of enties(atoms ,ions,molecules)in a substance .

12

we take carbon C isotope as reference atom to calculate mole because physically and analitically the value is accurate ( not perfect ).
