Answer:

deg of p(x) ≠ deg of r(x)

Because deg of q(x) + deg of g(x) = deg. of p(x)

Since, both q(x) and g(x) cannot be equal to 1 at the same time, therefore, deg. of r(x) can never be equal to the deg of p(x).

When p(x) = g(x).q(x) + r(x)

where p(x) = dividend polynomial, g(x) = divisor polynomial, q(x) = quotient polynomial & r(x) = remainder polynomial.

Hope this helps.....
