Degrees of comparison:-
There are 3 degrees of comparison.
- Positive degree
- Comparison degree
- Superlative degree
1) Positive degree:- It is the simplest form of adjectives, that do not make any comparison.
Example:-
- Fire is hot.
2) Comparative degree:- It is used when comparison of two nouns in done. We add -er to base to convert it to comparative degree.
Example:-
- Seema is taller than Reema.
3) Superlative degree:- It is used when we compare three things or more nouns. We add -est to the base form to covert it into superlative degree.
Example:-
- Rahul is most bravest among the three boys.
