The form of an adjective can be changed to show the comparison of quality between
two or more things. This change in form is called the degree of comparison
There are three Degrees of Comparison: the Positive, the Comparative and the
Superlative
Examples:
A tulip is a pretty flower (a quality that is present)
(2) A tulip is as pretty as a daisy, (shows it as being equal to another)
2. When we use the Comparative Degree, a comparison is made between two persons or
things and the word 'than' is used.
Examples:
D A tulip is prettier than a daisy. (comparison between two flowers)
2) Karim is taller than Viral. (comparison between two boys)
2. When we use the Superlative Degree, more than two persons or things are compared.
Examples
