RAIN FOREST: The tropical evergreen forests usually occur in areas receiving more than 200 cm of rainfall and having a temperature of 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. These do not shed their leaves at a particular time.

DECIDUOUS FOREST:  Tropical Deciduous Forests thrive where the rainfall is between 70 cm. and 200 cm. The trees in these forests shed their leaves for about six to eight weeks in summer.
