• High Court was first established in the three presidency cities of Calicut Bombay and Madras in 1862

• High Court of Delhi came up in 1966 currently there are 24 records while many states have their own high courts Punjab and Haryana high court in chattisgarh North East states of Assam ,Nagaland ,Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh have a common high court at Guwahati.

• Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have a common high court at Hyderabad some high courts have beaches in other part of the state for Greater asscessiblity.
