Delhi is further away from the equator than Chennai . But summer in Chennai is not as hot as in Delhi . What are the reasons for this ?? Plz answer fast ! It’s for my exam !!

The reason behind this the sea
Chennai is near the sea hence it experiences the moderate climate but since it is near equator summer are long but temperatures are not high
Whereas Delhi is far from moderating effect of the sea and thus experience continental type of climate hence much hotter.

yup sure
due to continuous evaporation of water air in these areas become humid as we know loss of water from our body only takes place if there is dryness in air but since there is humidity there's no significant amount of increase in temperature.ANOTHER Main reason is land and sea breeze
let me tell you about land and sea breeze
during day land gets hotter faster than water beacause water have high specific heat that is it can hold large amounts of heat air thus Air above land gets hot and rises up creating a vaccum thus cold and water laden air from sea rushes towards land giving a pleasent weather feeling this is called sea breeze reverse happens at night land gets colder faster than water
