velocity of an object depends on magnitude as well as direction hence it is a vector quantity magnitude of this velocity is pay so we can say that the speed of an object along with its direction its velocity.

when the speed of an object does not change when it is travelling with a uniform speed and when an object with uniform speed travelling without changing its direction then it is said to having uniform velocity.
