Generally, delivery of a good or service implies fulfillment of sellers commitment to the consumer or buyer. However,it does not automatically guarantee the acceptance or approval of the good or service in concern.

Explanation:

Delivery of any good or service is only an official recognition of its dispatch from the seller to the buyer and the official receipt or or bill generated during the delivery stand as a legal proof that the shipment has been received by the consumer or buyer. However, the consumer can reject the product or services due to several reasons such as poor/bad quality, payment related discrepancies, unsatisfactory customer service, any defect or damage found in the product or shipment, failure to meet consumer needs and expectations, wrong product deliver(something other than or different from what the consumer ordered) and so on.Hence,product/service acceptance or approval is usually preceded by the delivery process and contingent on several post-purchase or consumption circumstances.

As stated in the definition the delivery of goods mean the physical transfer of the goods and not acceptance of goods by the consumer .

In the below mentioned cases we can say that the acceptance of goods have taken place:-

  • A buyer accept the goods only after the fair examination.
