Bolivia is an isolated, land-locked, poorest country in South America. The Bolivians are known for their deep historical roots and for the cultural traditions.

However, their history also included repressions and exploitation by foreign invasions. The most popular issue was called the “Water War”, where the normal citizens were deprived of water.

In 1985, President Victor Paz Estenssoro had issued a proclamation which made economic policy changes to corporate globalization that stripped off the Bolivians of their material inheritance and natural resources.

As a result, many damaging changes occurred to the natives that included lay-offs, decrease in salaries, and temporary employment was offered. Pension benefits and health insurance was reduced or eliminated. The working classes had to lead powerless, inactive life with declining standards of living.
