There were several demerits of demonetisation when it was announced , they are :
1) The people had to deposit all the 500 and 1000 old notes so there was a big line in front of all the banks .
2) At the starting only 2000 rupees could be taken out from the ATM machines so it was quite difficult for the people to manage.
3) There was also small fights between some people because everyone was not getting the chance of depositing their money even after 4 days .
