1// Depend on journal - - Ledger is fully depended on journal as it posted the all transactions that are recorded in journal. But if the journal record anything wrong transaction than it results in mistakes in posting the transactions in ledger also.. Hence its depend on ledger results in its limitation.


2* Not helpful in direct preparations of final accounts..
Ledger is not arithmetic accurate so that trail balance is prepared after that to check its arithmetical accuracy. Thus ledger is not helpful in preparation of final accounts.


3* Not fully accurate - - Ledger is not fully accurate bcx there is a need to summrise the transactions and to check the arithmetical accuracy of ledger

Demerits:  

  • Unsafe as anyone can access the book or the computer file.
