Traditional food as in not hothouses and pesticide laced chemical food. I guess disadvantages would be that you cannot have any one food at all times of the year because it's not in season. The food has to have more care taken with harvesting and it makes the food more expensive for the consumer.

traditional food has a disadvantage that it is very boring to eat it each and every day although it is 100% pure & home made but still according to me you need to keep on changing tastes so that you don't get bored with the same food.
