I probably agree with this statement because democracy means freedom and if the people of a particular country are not given the freedom to vote their own representative and freedom to equality then the country will no longer said as a democratic country.
So, if there is democracy, there should be freedom.

Yes... it goes hand in hand because Democracy means the freedom to elect their own representative to run their government and freedom is nothing but to do something with any permission.
Democracy will happen only if we have freedom.
Democracy will happen only if we have freedom.
