Explanation:

The creation of democracy lies in the desire for freedom. It was created in the times when autocracy was the norm for government, and was the representation of the people’s will to participate in the formation of the governing body. The desire to affect the most influential body of a society alone demonstrates the level of freedom a democracy can grant.

The French Revolution, the American Revolution, the Indian War for Freedom, all of them were about freedom from an autocratic rule which denied freedom to those who inhabited the lands. And guess what form of government was established after dethroning the kings and the overlords? Democracy.

Democracy has its flaws, true. But if I were to ask between getting my work done quickly at the expense of not getting to choose the kind of work I want to get done, & choosing my work, even though it might end up getting done slower than it should be, then I’d definitely choose the latter.

Democracy ensures that I get to choose. I might have my personal grievances against it, but all in all, democracy always has its hand entwined in the hands of freedom.
