According to Abraham Lincoln, democracy can promote the concept of “of people, by people, for people."
On the other hand, illiteracy can promote the affiliation of a person over the progress of a country.
In case of a illiterate person emotions can overshadow the logic and the artificial developments can replace the sustainable growth.
Due to these reasons, these two cannot move together.
