No form of government can perfectly reflect society, but democracy allows compromise between different groups or classes whose interests conflict. It also allows freedom of expression so that people can voice dissention with the government without fear of persecution, as would be the case in a dictatorship.
Hence the party electoral system, where the parties representing different interests compete for power in regular elections.

Advantages-
1) encourages spirit of power sharing
2) does not allow power to remain in single party.
3) also helps as opposition party if it loses tge election
Disadvantages-
1) cannot take decisions independently bcoz it has to discuss with other party in coalition
2) formed after the elections. Late decision is taken
3) cannot voice its opinions properly.

In democracy, the leader is appointed based on the majority votes of the population. We, the people choose leaders who can reflect our ideas. However, all ideas cannot be taken into count due high population. If each person's idea has to be taken into count, then it would take a lot of time to frame a new law. However, ideas can be taken into count through large public demonstrations.
Ex- The Black Lives Matter movement are taking place in many democratic country.
